IMPORTANT NOTE
The following is for
the basic "full" setup. Some items may change. Once
you have printed this list, please check with Paul Vesco for final
adjustments. If the stage size is smaller than specified, or if
the on-stage risers are different than shown, then there WILL
be a change in stage plot.

Monitor Mixes
- Prefer EIGHT separate monitor
mixes. List below shows 6 mixes. If you can supply 8 mixes, then
separate off the guitar and percussion player.
- Minimum SIX separate monitor mixes.
If six mixes are not available, please contact Paul Vesco for
alternate instructions to combine mixes.

Stage
- 32' wide x 24' deep x 24"
high (higher if available)
- Four sets of steps (per stage
plot)
Dance Floor
If there will be dancing, for maximum
audience participation, we recommend dance floor to be directly
in front of stage. This also allows a buffer zone in front of
stage for sound level concentration.
Risers
- 6' x 8' risers on stage at 16"
to 18" high (per stage plot)
- 6' x 8' risers in house for mix
position/follow spot riser (call for specs and positioning)
Power (typical, depending
on size of PA, Lights and Audience)
- If we supply sound and lights,
seven (7) 2O-amp Edison circuits and two (2) 2O-amp quad boxes
at mix position.
- If we supply sound and NO lights,
five (5) 2O-amp Edison circuits and two (2) 2O-amp quad boxes
at mix position.
- If we don't supply sound or lights,
three (3) 2O-amp Edison circuits on stage for backline gear.
Dressing Room
We request a nearby room or area
to be used as a Green Room. This can be done directly next to
the stage (pipe/drape), or in an adjacent banquet room. The Green
Room should contain:
- Chairs for on stage cast plus
2.
- Water/soda/coffee service for
on stage cast plus 2.
- If pipe/drape is used, appropriate
lighting inside dressing room.
Accommodations: (where applicable)
- King room for Paul Vesco.*
- ____ Double hotel rooms as needed
for musicians and technicians.*
* On fly-out dates, if rooms cannot
be provided on or adjacent to performance site, ground transportation
must be provided.
Airfare (where applicable)
- Coach tickets for Paul Vesco,
orchestra and at least one additional tech/assistant.
- Please confirm prior to booking
flights that all tickets are r/t from Orlando.
- Please confirm prior to booking
flights for requested departure/arrival times.
- Preferred airlines are American
or Delta.
Setup/Soundcheck
Paul Vesco requests three (3) hours
to set and soundcheck. This must be completed a minimum of 1-1/2
hours prior to Showtime. This means FREE and CLEAR access to the
stage for a full volume soundcheck. Sound techs may enter the
stage during the first hour for minute adjustments.
A Sample Timeline:
Assuming a door opening time of
7:00pm, we would like to see a schedule as:
- 1:00 band loads in
- 3:00 band starts "making
noise", checking lines and microphones
- 3:30 band starts soundchecking
by playing various material
- 5:00 band is off stage and headed
towards their dinner
- 6:45 band is in places for door
opening
- 7:00 door opening
PA System
- Minimum 3-Way System with Subs.
System must be capable of clear, clean sound quality at 110db
at Mix Position with:
- 32 channels minimum input is preferred
- High-quality wireless microphones
(Shure Beta-58 or Beta-57 or better) in straight stands for vocalists
- 1 high-quality wireless microphones
(Shure Beta-58 or Beta-57 or better) in boom stand for keyboardist

- 1 VOG mic at Front of House mix
position
- Direct Boxes for Keyboards (4)
and MDR (2) and bass (1)
- Mics for Guitar, Saxes, Trombone,
Trumpet, Percussion and Drum Kit as needed
- Vocal Mics for Guitar and Alto
sax (all with boom stands)
- Request 4-station Clear Com (Mix
Position, Follow Spot, Stage, Dressing Room)
- 2 FOH effects units required (Example:
Lexicon PCM70, Lexicon PCM42 , Yamaha SPX-900 or SPX-990)
- Minimum 4 channels of compression
(DBX or better)
- Minimum 4 noise gates (requested)
- Unless other arrangements are
made, Paul Vesco reserves right to supply his own FOH or Monitor
Audio Mix Engineer
Monitors
- 8 Aux. sends (6-pre & 2-post)
with a minimum of 6 separate monitor sends.
- Minimum number of wedges as diagrammed.
- A 3rd Efx unit dedicated to providing
Efx for the horns in the horn monitors.
- Clear Com to stage with dedicated
Monitor Technician on call at mix position.
Lights
- Appropriate lighting to present
band in a theatrical, high energy show. We suggest:
- Minimum thirty (30), 1000-watt
par 64's on upstage truss
- Minimum thirty (30), 1000-watt
par 64's on downstage truss
- Appropriate washes to cover dance
floor during audience participation and specialty numbers.
- Any specialty lighting (Intellabeams,
strobes, blacklights, etc )
- Fog is optional to enhance the
overall look of the stage
Spot Lights
- Minimum 1 follow spot w/operator
suggested, two is recommended.
Backline Equipment
- Drums: Yamaha Recording, Pearl,
Tama (or similar): Single Kick, 2 Mounted Toms, 1 Floor Tom,
Cymbals (1 ride/2 crash)
- Guitar Amp - Mesa Boogie Mark
IV, Roland Chorus, Fender Twin or comparable 2-channel amp
- Bass Amp - Gallien-Krueger, Hartke
or similar head with 4-10's & 1-15 speaker
- Keys I - SY99, Kurzweil PC88,
two tiered stand, Peavey K8-300 amp, piano bench
- Keys II - Alesis 7.1 or 8.1 or
Korg Trinity
- Music Stands with Lights for every
musician PLUS two more.
